Auditing
If you are an admin who understands databases and relationships between database tables, you can monitor changes in the Grantmaking database. To access Auditing, go to Control panel, select Settings, Auditing. From here, you can view the auditing history of a line item by selecting menu , View history.

Note: Edit search is intended for users with extensive database knowledge and may be confusing for casual users.
The Auditing workspace provides a simplified version of the standard Grantmaking Full search. Select Edit search to edit your Auditing search parameters.
By default, theSearch type is the Query builder, which opens a separate dialog for adding search criteria for the active audit table. The Query builder is used as follows:

Select Add Filters at the bottom of the window to add one or more search criteria.

To remove search criteria, select its menu
button followed by Delete row.

To create your own search statements, select Advanced at the bottom of the window

Select the options from the toolbar to create your search statement.

Insert expression can be used to add comparison operators (
equals
,does not equal
,less than
,more than
, etc.). -
Once you've created your expression, select Save.

Once your search criteria are configured, select Applyto run the search in the Auditing workspace, or Save as to name the search and add it to the Search type, Saved searches list.

You can change views in the drop-down on the right side of the Auditing workspace. To manage the views available in this drop-down, select Manage saved views. Here, you can select existing views to edit or add to the drop-down, or add your own custom views:

Select the view category in the left panel.

To add your own view under the selected category, select Add view. Select Add columns, then choose your desired columns to add to the view.

After you add all of your desired columns, edit their Headings, combine them into one column, change their order, and edit their sorting.

When you're finished adding your view, select Save view. Enter a name and description for the new view.

Optionally, to save the view to the drop-down on the Auditing workspace, select Allow others to use this view, then select Save.

To export your Auditing search results to an Excel spreadsheet:

From the Auditing page, select Export in the Actions bar.

Enter a title for your export. This text will appear as cell A1 in your spreadsheet.

Select if you want to Include column headings and Export values without formatting.

Select Export to create and download the Excel file.
