Connect a Stripe account
To enable integrated payments in Blackbaud Guided Fundraising, you first need to connect a payment processor. You can connect a Connect a Blackbaud Payment Services account or Stripe account. If you would like to set up Stripe as your payment processor, follow the instructions below.

If you already have a Stripe account, you'll need an administrator to connect the account. If you don't already have a Stripe account, you need to sign up for an account first.

To connect your Stripe account to Blackbaud Guided Fundraising, go to Admin, Payment Settings.
Note: Your will need to be an Administrator in Guided Fundraising to access the Stripe Settings section.
Next, select the Connect with Stripe button. You'll be asked to log in to Stripe to connect your account. Someone with administrative privileges on your Stripe account will need to log in and approve the connection. Once you approve the connection, your account will be connected and ready to accept payments through Blackbaud Guided Fundraising.
If you don't already have a Stripe account, you'll need to sign up for an account first by going to https://stripe.com/.

Ensure a user with an Administrator role in Stripe is logged in to connect the account

Ensure your Stripe account is fully activated

Ensure you are an Administrator in Guided Fundraising. You will need to be an Administrator to access the Stripe Settings section.

Once you've connected your account, the Enter Test Payment button will appear on the Stripe Payments settings page. When you enter a test payment, this will use Test Mode on your Stripe account. No actual charges will be placed when entering test payments, and you will not be able to enter genuine card information here. You are only able to use the test cards provided in Stripe's documentation.

After you have entered a few test payments and see how the data flows into your Stripe account, you can enable access to the credit card functionality in the Blackbaud Guided Fundraising agent portal by checking the box on the Stripe Payments setting page.
Note: Ensure your agents are able to access Stripe's services from their workstations. Your IT team may need to allow access to Stripe from their computers. See Preparing your Agent Workstations

No, you do not need to connect a Stripe account to use Blackbaud Guided Fundraising. Connecting a Stripe account will enable your agents process credit card donations through the Blackbaud Guided Fundraising agent interface. If you do not connect a Stripe account, your agents can still record donations, designations, and other information, but will need to process the credit card through a different system.
